Shield Azure, in base a fish Argent, issuant from fish an ash leaf Or with five fingers.
Meaning:
A market town seal, probably from the 18th century with prints since 1811 displayed in an oval a pale, charged with a fish and flanked by two 5-point stars. In colours stamps from the 19th century appeared the ash leaf, since the 1890ies the fish was added. The ash (German: Esche) and the kind of fish (German: Äsche) both can be considered to be canting. There is also a congruence with the family arms of the Ifflinger kin of Graneck, local rulers from 1465 until 1603. But this seems to be just coincidental.
