Shield Or, a ploughshare Gules flanked by three stones of the same ordered 1:2, chief wavy Azure charged with a fish Argent.
Meaning:
Since 1680 a town seal was in use, displaying a fish over three stones (German: Steine) as punning elements. In 1905 tinctures were fixed and the arms were modified, now displaying three red billets ordered 1:2 under a blue fish. After Welschensteinach had been incorporated a reversed ploughshare from its arms was added. The current pattern was designed in 1975.
