Shield Gules three chalices Or with cover of the same ordered 1:2.
Meaning:
Pfaffenweiler was a possession of the Barons of Staufen since the 13th century, and as an Austrian fiefdom since 1602, before it was acquired by Baden in 1811. The chalices are taken fom the family arms of the barons. In arms and seals they had been depicted without cover in the 19th and 20th century. The covers were added in 1960.
