Meaning:
The chevrons are taken from the arms of the Counts of Hanau, the cross from the arms of the Abbots of Fulda. Both had several possessions in the territory of the municipality. The fingers of the chestnut leaf are representing the former municipalities of Kalbach: Eichenried, Heubach, Oberkalbach, Mittelkalbach, Niederkalbach, Uttrichshausen and Veitsteinbach. The bend wavy in base is representing Kalbach creek. The arms were approved on 4 April 1976.
