The shield is parted per fess. Above are two golden mattocks in saltire in a green field. Beneath are eight black lozenges, ordered 5:3, in a golden field.
Meaning:
The mattocks are representing the suffix "-rode" and thus alluding to former forest clearances. The lozenges are referring to the nickname of the local people, being called "grindstones".

Sickerode had 146 inhabitants in 2015 and covers 2.0 km². The municipality was first mentioned in 1178.
