Or, a Roundel Argent bordered Gules, in base triple steep Mountain Peaks Vert.
Željko Heimer, 15 September 2000
Muriaux used first the coat-of-arms of the nobility of Murival (later Muriaux) but Saignelégier,
chief town of Franches-Montagnes district, adopted the same coat-of-arms. In order not to mix both civic
coats of arms, Muriaux added three rocks "les tras reutches de Muri", (which means in local
dialect "the three rocks of Muriaux"). The French blazon speaks about a mirror (miroir) to describe what Željko presented as a
roundel.
Pascal Gross, 15 September 2000
