Description of the flag

June 24th (2007), was the feast of St. John, and the the Canadian Priory of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of St. John of Jerusalem's flag flew on Parliament Hill in recognition of it and of the Order's 2007 investiture (which took place in the Senate), The Queen is Sovereign Head, The Order received its Royal Charter from Queen Victoria in 1888 and celebrates its 125th Canadian anniversary in 2008.

The Canadian Priory uses their own version of the flag, as in my experience they are also the only country to use a badge incorporating a local emblem as well as the eight-pointed cross.
