The University of Brunei Darussalam, the only institution of higher education in the country, is located in Bandar Seri Begawan, the capital of the country. The very elaborate and colorful university logo can be seen at
www.ubd.edu.bn/about/brief/logo.htm. However, I have received an e-mail from the Personal Assistant to the Acting Chief Librarian, who informs me that there are several official university flags, although he does not know when they were adopted, who designed them, or any other details. He did provide me with a description of what he calls 'The General University Flag,' which is a rectangular yellow flag (dimensions not given) with a thin red vertical line at the fly and with the University Logo in red in the center. There are also supposedly official flags used by the Sultan of Brunei in his official capacity as Chancellor of the University, and also for the Pro-Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor as well; however, no description of
these flags was provided.
