The Dobroyd Aquatic Club (DAC), founded in 1939, is located at Rodd Point, Iron Cove, Five Dock, New South Wales. The most famous member of DAC is the windsurfer / sailboarder Lars Kleppich, bronze medalist in the 1992 Olympics (Barcelona), world champion in 1999, 4th in the 2000 Olympics (Sydney) and 8th in the 2004 Olympics (Athens).
The burgee of DAC is dark red / maroon with a white cross and a white disk bordered dark red / maroon and charged with the dark red / maroon letters DAC placed in the middle of the cross.
According to the detailed history of the DAC compiled by Michael Costa in 1995, the club started as informal sailing events organized by locals and boys from Fort Street High School. When the club was officially started, it chose the colours of Fort Street - maroon and white. Those colours were eventually adopted around 1950, when the club activity resumed after the Second World War, and the club burgee was designed by K. Begley.
