The Agostinho Neto University (Universidade Agostinho Neto) is the largest public university in Angola, based in the capital Luanda and the nearby town of Talatona.  It is named after the first President of Angola who lead the Popular Movement for the Liberation of Angola (MPLA) during the war for independence.

The flag of the university has a white field with its emblem in colour in the centre.  The emblem comprises a light blue lozenge in the centre of which is an open book and rising sun, superimposed on which is a black cog-wheel and red five-pointed star.  Below are the words Ensino (teaching), Investigacão (investigation) and Produção (production/output) and a scroll containing the name of the university below the name of the country in Portuguese.
