The Kanivs'ka Community (Канівська міська громада) is one of 26 communities in the Cherkas'kyy County. It was created in 2018, and enlarged in 2020, when the City of Kaniv lost its independent status. The Community has 1 city and 10 villages. It has about 54 km² and about 24'500 inhabitants. Its administrative seat is the City of Kaniv.
The Kanivs'ka Community hasn't adopted its own symbols, but is using the symbols of the City of Kaniv (In such cases usually the symbols of the administrative seat are in use, until the distinct symbols are adopted).

1999–2014

Sable on a base Argent a harnysed warrior carrying a partisan all Proper then a border of the Second with the whole enframed by a cartouche Or and ensigned by a mural crown also of the Second.

Adopted by the City Council on 7.12.1999. In a black field on a silver hill is an ancient Russian warrior of the 12th century, who holds a battle axe with a long shaft in his right hand, placed in a pole. The warrior's left hand, with a red round shield suspended from it, oriented straight with the inner part, is placed on a silver belt with a sword suspended from it in a red sheath with a gold frame. The warrior is dressed in silver armor over clothes of the same color with a gold border at the bottom. He is wearing a red cape and gloves and boots of the same color.

Per fess Azure an archangel Proper clad and holding a spear and shield Argent then Sable on a base Brunatre a harnysed soldier carrying a halberd also Proper clad of the Fifth and ensigned by a mural crown of Third.

Approved on 26.12.1852. The shield is crossed. The coat of arms of Kyiv is on the upper part; on a dolish black Russian warrior of the 12th century. The shield is crowned with a silver city crown with five towers.

On a circular emblem a base Azure surmounted by a (grassy) mound and issuant from this last a soldier Proper.

The ancient warrior was depicted on the Kaniv coat of arms even before the city was included in the Russian Empire. The privilege of King Stanislav August of June 9, 1792 included a color image of the coat of arms. The description in the privilege: "On a hill an armed man with a spear."

Village of Mezhyrich

The flag of the village of Mezhirich was approved on November 17, 2015. The proportions are 2:3.

Azure per chevron embowed Vert fimbriated Argent carrying in base a triangular charge of this Last detailed Sable supported by two mammoths rampart Biege defended Or stood upon a base Vert and of the Second surmounted by a ribbon scroll of the First and bearing a motto also of the Second with the shield ensigned by a mural crown Gules.

"In an azure field, a silver raised concave point, burdened with a green raised point, which is burdened with a silver pyramid of 'wild' stone (boulders) with black seams. The shield is topped with a red crown walled in silver with two teeth. Shield holders: two mammoths of natural (light brown) color with silver tusks, trunks and ends of paws, standing on a green earthen base with gold ledges. Under the shield is an azure ribbon with the inscription of the motto in silver letters 'VIVAT LABOR' (Glory to labor)."
