Shield Or with base wavy of Azure, Argent and Vert (5 waves), an eradicated cedar Gules leafed Vert, in chief a roseate tern (Latin: Sterna dougallii, a kind of terns) volant Sable, garnished Argent and beaked Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "CEDROS - SANTA CRUZ DAS FLORES".
Meaning:
The cedar (Port.: cedro) is a canting element. The Portuguese word cedro refers to many Cupressaceae shrubs and trees. In this context it is taken to refer to Juniperus brevifoliaa.

Presentation of Cedros

Cedros is one of the four communes of Santa Cruz das Flores Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had inhabitants in 2021 and covers  km².
