Shield Or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, a corn plant eradicated Vert with three cobs Argent, flanked at dexter by a bunch of grapes Purpure leafed Vert, at sinister by a cogwheel Sable. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SOUSELAS - LOUSADA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is a representation of the Mezio River, a creek with origin in the commune, and the Sousa River, the commune is located 7 kms from its right bank. The grape bunch is symbolising viticulture, the corn plant agriculture, the cogwheel industries.

Sousela is one of the nine communes of Lousada Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 1789 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 7,08 km².
