Shield or with base wavy of Azure and Argent, on fess point an open book Argent bound Gules, on dexter chief point a grape bunch Purpure leafed Vert, on sinister chief point a cogwheel Gules. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "UNIÃO DAS FREGUESIAS DE SILVARES, PIAS, NOGUEIRA E ALVARENGA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is a representation of the Sousa River. The book is symbolising culture and education, the grape bunch agriculture, especially the production of "green wine", the cogwheel industries.

Silvares, Pias, Nogueira e Alvarenga is one of the seven communes of Lousada Municipality created by a merger during the 2013 changes. It had 6594 inhabitants in 2021 and covers 10,49 km².

Shield Or, on centre a pair of scales Gules, balanced by a sword flamant Azure, surrounded on orle by a bramble Vert fruited Purpure. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers and (village rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case serifed letters "SILVARES - LOUSADA".
Meaning:
The bramble (Portuguese: silva) is a canting element. Sword and scales are attributes of St. Michael, the local patron saint.

The base wavy is a representation of the Sousa River. Cobs and bunch are symbolising agriculture.
