Shield Argent, a sword Gules set in pale, flanked by two corn cobs Or leafed Vert, issuant from base a triplemount Vert, Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and short white scroll, in Bénard Guedes style, with inscription in black capitals "VIARIZ".
Meaning:
The triplemount is a representation of three real local mountains: Bruzende, Águas Férreas and Chã das Antas. Corn is the principal cereal cultivated in the village. The sword is an attribute of St. Faustinus, the local patron saint.

Presentation of Viariz

Viariz is one of the eight communes of Baião Municipality not affected by the 2013 changes; it had 520 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 6,2 km².
