Although I was not informed by the municipality if it has a flag, it appears that it does not.

The coat of arms was designed through a call for proposals by the municipality in 1997; the government ended up choosing the design by third-grade teacher Manuel Eduardo Ruiz Zazueta, who was also a councilmember at the time. Information thankfully received from the municipal government. Description of the coat of arms, according to the Encyclopedia of Municipalities and Delegations of Mexico:
In the foreground, the fruits of wheat, corn, and cotton, signifying agricultural production, are found. The seven grooves allude to a special distinction in remembering the martyrs of San Ignacio Río Muerto, and recognize the high level of technology with which the land is cultivated. In the central part, an outline of the territory which conforms to the municipality is shown, crossed by the Río Muerto [Dead River], highlighting the Sea of Cortez. In the lateral right portion appears an open book, signifying education, seed of progress for the peoples, observing the date and number of the municipality according to its official creation of Sonora. In the lateral left, the head of a bovine is perceived, representing cattle-raising, an activity of singular importance. To the upper portion, the sea and wealth which emanates from it appears, including the salt mining industry which is today preponderant in the region. Crowning the coat of arms is the tradition and culture of the Yaqui ethnicity, a living symbol of our region having its own manifestation: man and nature eternally linked.Daniel Rentería, 28 September 2024
