The Liberal Party of Macedonia (Liberalna partija na Makedonija - LPM; website) was originally established on 5 October 1990, as the Union of Reform Forces in Macedonia. Renamed the Liberal Party in June 1993, it merged in April 1997 with the Democratic Party to form the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP), from which it broke away in December 1999 under the name of Liberal Party of Macedonia.

The flag of the LPM is prescribed in Article 3 of the party's
Statutes (text), last amended on 4 June 2004, as in proportions 1:2, white
with the party's emblem in the middle.
The emblem of the LPM is made of a blue disk outlined by two blue
rings, charged with a white map of Europe surmounted by an arch of
five yellow stars and, in base, with the yellow letters "ЛПМ". The party's name is written in blue stylized letters, on two lines, in the base of the disk.
