Description

Local Council since 1952 and situated 2 Kms north to Zikhron Ya'aqov , near the junction of roads 4 and 70. Meaning of the name is small citrus plants.
Est. in 1880s by Bedouins from El-Awarna tribe with many others from nearby villages join it during the Independance War. Pop. 9500 (2003), all Moslems.
