Overview

Bag is a large village in Aszód district of Pest County. located on the northeastern side of the Gödöllő Hills, on the right bank of the Galga Stream.
Its first surviving charter mention dates back to 1394 in the form of Baag, and its first known seal dates back to 1740. Its first owner was probably the ákos family, then it was owned by Sigismund of Luxembourg, the Báthorys and later the Esterházys.
Nowadays, due to the proximity of industrial centers, few of the residents work in the village, 90% of its employees earn their living in one of the surrounding settlements or in the capital.

The Flag

Its flag consists of two horizontal stripes, red over white, and its coat of arms is placed in the center of the flag. Ratio is 2:3.
A Local Government Decree must be available about its symbols, but I haven’t found it online. So, adoption date is unknown.

The Coat of Arms

The shield is blue, with two green mounds in the lower third, and three golden ears of wheat gathered in a bunch in the middle where the mounds meet. The shield is surrounded on both sides by a golden grape bunch symmetrically to the vertical axis of the coat of arms, touching the base of the coat of arms, and a burgundy (red) grape leaf behind them.
