Symbols of La Luisiana

Municipality of La Luisiana in the Province of Sevilla, Andalucia, has its own symbols, but the date of their adoption is unknown.

• Coat of arms:
  Description: The central part of the shield depicts the lesser coat of arms of Charles III, as it appears in some of the town's founding documents. It is superimposed on the main shield, which displays the colors of the municipal flag in three diagonal stripes. The shield is surmounted by a royal crown.
  Meaning: This is the simplified version of the Spanish coat of arms from the time of the town's founding. It consists of the arms of Castile and León quartered, with a pomegranate at the base and the fleurs-de-lis of Bourbon as an escutcheon. All of this is placed on the stripes of the municipal flag. La Luisiana was founded by King Charles III in 1768 as part of his policy of establishing new towns. The authors of this coat of arms are José Antonio Martín Cano and others.
  NOTE: Simbolos of Sevilla website has made many mistakes regarding these symbols. The colors of the shield are NOT those of the municipal flag, but of the flag of the Mancomunidad Cultural de las Nuevas Poblaciones de Sierra Morena y Andalucia.
  
• Flag:
  The image of the flag is also erroneous, as the three stripes of the flag are not diagonal, but horizontal, and the coat of arms in the center is in its full achievement.
  NOTE: Images of the flag in Simbolos de Sevilla and in Wikipedia are wrong. Photos of the real flag show three horizontal stripes.
  NOTE: Coat of arms in use could has both crown bed yellow or red, but on the flag (at least on the found photos) is with red.
