The shield depicts the sun, the local church, an open book, and a basket with fruits. Next to the shield are two plants, with hands coming out of their bottoms shaking each others hand. Behind the shield are two tools. Above it is a ribbon reading "ESCUDO DE JIMA" (Coat of Arms of Jima).
