Coat of arms

Shield parted per fess, above Gules beehive Or superimposing two flails of the same in saltire, below Or a viking ship Azure.
Meaning:
The beehive is alluding to the former Slavic name Medov (=honey). The flails are symbolising agriculture in the past and nowadays. The viking ship is symbolising the presence of vikings in the past and the importance of sailing nowadays.
