On this page: The German Police Union (Deutsche Polizeigewerkschaft - DPolG) was originally founded in 1951, the current name has been adopted in 1987. The DPolG is not part of the Trade Union Federation DGB (in contrast to the larger GdP), but part of the German Civil Servants' Association (Deutscher Beamtenbund - DBB).
The symbol of the DPolG is a police star with a stylized eagle and the inscriptions Deutsche Polizeigewerkschaft and DBB. The eagle is the old symbol of the DBB. Usually the symbol is cobalt blue on white.
The flags used are usually plain blue with the symbol in inverted colours;
a vertical flag variant is sometimes shown as well.
The Bavarian section seems to use a different flag (inspired by the Bavarian flag): blue over white with the symbol counterchanged; this contains the abbreviation DPolG instead of DBB.
