Montauk (pronounced MON-tawk) is a hamlet of 4,318 people located in the town of East Hampton, Suffolk County.
The flag is blue on white with a thin blue box near the edge. Inside is a blue spheroid/semi-spheroid insignia and below that reads "MONTAUK" in navy blue caps. Again, I cannot confirm anything, but it was still intriguing enough to post.
