Description of the flag

"The Plaza's flag, which debuted this past Veterans Day at events at the two local Atrias, is a very stylish, modern looking version of the current New York State seal, since we are an incorporated village in the state. Mayor Celender and Trustee Schneiderman spearheaded the project to create a village flag. Stated Trustee Schneiderman, "As a forward thinking Village, we wanted a flag that was true to the state seal, but with a more modern design. It has an updated, refreshing look that I think most people will find attractive."
Valentin Poposki, 6 April 2012

Great Neck Plaza is a village on the Great Neck Peninsula in the Town of North Hempstead, in Nassau County, on the North Shore of Long Island, in New York.

The flag carries the arms of the state and the name of the village, date, county above and below.
