The flag depicts everything you need to know about the township, I mean everything. The flag was adopted in August 2019, which is inscribed on the flag itself.
For a your interest, I have provided a imgur link to the full view of the flag: https://i.imgur.com/LpMi3ue.png
The centerpiece of the flag is the Union Township hall, which is where the government of the township is bodied. Arching over the township hall is the township name. On either side of the township hall is a ducking flying away from the township hall. Above the hoist duck are reed plants with a deer head next to them. Under the township hall are more reeds with the Michigan state outline overlaying them, with a star marking the township's location. Left of the reeds is the establishment month and year "est. October 1884." To the right is a scroll which states:
Flag Adopted
August 2019
Board of Trustees
Douglas Mansfield
Sheryl Tillitson
Constance Stone
Kellie Fuelling
Nancy Wieland
Under the reeds is the county and state names. On the bottom hoist and fly sides are more reeds. On the top hoist and fly are artistic floral. Surrounding the flag are a border of words which read from top to hoist:
Snowmobiling - Hunting - Canoeing - Hiking - Fly Fishing - Turkey Hunting - Snowshoeing - Tubing - ATV Riding - Trapping - Cross Country Skiing
Mushrooming - Neighbors - Jackson Creek - Muncie Lakes - Privacy - Scheck's Place - Horse Camp - Island Lake - Twin Lake
Parsons Lake - East Creek - Mayfield Gravesite - Downs Lake - Ranch Rudolph - The North Branch - Stargazing - Bird Hunting - Berry Picking - Swamps
Horse Back Riding - Wildlife - The Forests - The Forks - South Branch - Moto-Cross - Kayaking - Camping - Silence
I told you when I meant everything.
The township administration sent me the graphics of the township flag.
