Airlift International Airlines started off in 1946 as Riddle Airlines as it was founded by John Paul Riddle, who by the way also had a hand in the founding of American Airlines. The company's name changed to Airlift international in 1964.
My father, a former B-17 crewman during World War II became an airline pilot after the war. He went to work for Riddle/Airlift in 1958. He flew for Airlift for 25 years and retired as Airlift's Senior Captain in 1983. Although primarily a cargo carrier, Airlift at one time had the most international routes of any US airline including Pan Am or TWA.
Airlift did have a logo flag that I would spot occasionally here and there, and here it is. The two logos on the flag are the same logos that could be found on its aircraft. On the front of the flag, the port logo could be seen, while on the reverse side of the flag, the starboard logo was displayed.
