Bozok University (website) was established on 1 March 2006 in Yozgat. The university is composed of 8 Faculties, 3 Institutes, 6 Vocational Schools, 5 Schools, 1 Research and Application Hospital, and 7 Research
Centers.
Bozok was, until 23 June 1927, the former name of Yozgat. The town was
named for a confederation of Turkmen tribes.
