Description of the flag

International Congress for the New Evangelisation (ICNE 2005); held in Lisbon, Portugal, on 2005.11.05-13. This is the second of a series of five such congresses dedicated to discussing and planning Catholic proselytism in Catholic countries, highly sponsored at Vatican level.

List of congresses: 2003 Vienna, 2004 Paris, 2005 Lisbon, 2006 Brussels, 2007 Budapest.

The flags of these five countries were displayed prominently in Lisbon and Fátima, along with the logotype of the congress, a smart arrangement of the labarum (St. George's flag) and the Marian star (with eight points for symmetry). This logo existed as red on white, and as its opposite. It was used in scarves, posters, street and church decorations, even on episcopal mitras! -- and (the latter version) also on flags, of which I saw two variants: , 1:2 horizontal, with the logo at the hoist and lettering "Cristo Vivo" ("Living Christ") above "Lisboa 2005", both yellow.
