Shield Or abased parted by a bar wavy Azure, charged with a barrulet wavy Argent, above the western façade of a monastery Sable masoned Argent with two towers, on chief an inescutcheon Sable, charged with two keys Or in saltire, between two bunches of cherries proper. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "UNIO DAS FREGUESIAS DE PEDROSO E SEIXEZELO".
Meaning:
Monastery and inescutcheon are representing former Pedroso Commune, bar wavy and cherries former Seixezelo Commune. The flag colour of the united commune is representing both former entities as follows: Pedroso by yellow, Seixezelo by red.

Pedroso e Seixezelo is one of the communes of Vila Nova de Gaia Municipality, created by the 2013 mergers; it had 20 226 inhabitants in 2021 and covered 20,9 km².

Shield Or, on base a mountain issuant Azure crowned by a monastery Proper, on dexter chief an inescutcheon Azure charged with five plates in quincunx, on sinister chief an inescutcheon Sable charged with two keys Or crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VILA DE PEDROSO".
Meaning:
The blue inescutcheon is representing the kingdom of Portugal, the black inescutcheon is representing the old fiefdom of Pedroso, the monastery is that one of Pedroso.

Pedroso was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vila Nova de Gaia Municipality; it had 18 714 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 19,7 km².
