Coat of arms

Shield Argent, a heraldic fountain, in chief a pair of angel's wings Azure, in base two corn cobs Gules leaved Vert placed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "FONTE DE ANGEÂO".
Meaning:
The name of the commune means "angel's fountain". Thus the wings and the fountain are canting elements.

Fonte de Angeão Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vagos Municipality (q.v.); it had 1179 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 9.6 km².

Coat of arms

Shield Or, in chief two pines eradicated Vert fruited Argent ordered per fess, in base a valley Gules, in centre a wolf passant Sable tongued Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "COVÂO DO LOBO".
Meaning:
The commune's name means "wolf's cave", and thus at least the wolf, perhaps also the valley are canting elements.

According to Licínio Custódio Ramos, president of the commune, flag and arms were approved by Comissão de Heráldica da Associação de Arqueólogos Portugueses (CHAAP) on 15 April 2009 and adopted by the local assembly on 19 June 2009.

Covão do Lobo Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Vagos Municipality (q.v.); it had 986 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 8.5 km².
