Shield Argent, issuant from base a mount Vert, charged with a fountain Argent, in chief an eradicated cork oak Vert fruited Or and peeled Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "S. BARTOLOMEU DO OUTEIRO".

São Bartolomeu do Outeiro Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Portel Municipality; it had 436 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 37.5 km².

The arms are Azure, five nuggets Or in quincunx over a base wavy of Argent and Azure, chief Argent charged with a wolf passant Sable. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll reading in black upper case letters "ORIOLA".
Meaning:
The nuggets may be canting for the false etymology "oriola" as "ouro" (= "gold"). In fact it is an oriole, a golden bird. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers means town rights, gained by a decree (Port.: foral) of Dom Manuel I, granted on 20 November 1516.

Oriola Commune is one of the pre-2013 communes of Portel Municipality; it had 400 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 36.2 km².
