It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

The arms are Azure two axes Argent hilted Or crossed per saltire, in central chief an olive branch Argent fruited Or, in bae a triplemount issuant Argent. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank), inscription "SOBRAL DA ADIÇA" in black uppercase letters on white scroll.
Meaning:
"Sobral" means cork oak wood, which is not depicted on the arms (maybe so obliquely, the axes?); "Adiça" is a local hill range (518 m a.s.l. high at its highest), which is represented by the triplemount.

Sobral da Adiça Commune is one of the eight communes of Moura Municipality; it had 1013 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 138.3 km².
