Coat of arms

Shield Azure with base wavy of Argent and Vert, two Azorean millwheels Argent in fess, in chief a heraldic rose Or, seeded Gules and barbed Vert. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "HORTA - CONCEIÇÃO".

Conceição Commune is one of the 13 communes of Horta Municipality and one of the urban communes (boroughs) of Horta city; it had 1138 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 2.7 km².
