It is a untypical communal banner with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field, as the communal flag has a different colour.
According to Sérgio Horta the banner is blue, according to Fundação Maria Dias Ferreira, confirmed by the communal webpage, the banner (estandarte) however is painted white with golden and blue tassels, cord and fringes.
The explaining text says however that the flag (bandeira) should be blue.
