It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain yellow field.

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, 12 millstones Argent ordered twice per fess (6:6), in chief two rice ears Or crossed per saltire. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "ALQUEIDÃO - FIGUEIRA DA FOZ"
Meaning:
The millstones refer to a historical mill, the only one in the whole peninsula having 12 millstones. The ears are representing agriculture, especially the traditional cultivation of rice in the commune. The base wavy is representing the rivers Mondego and Pranto.

Alqueidão Commune is one of the 14 communes of the Figueira da Foz municipality (q.v.); it had 1752 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 13.7 km².
