Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Vert, a bendlet sinister wavy Azure fmbriated Argent, above all an anchor Or. Mural crown Argent with four visible towers (town rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials: "VILA PRAIA DE ÂNCORA".
Meaning:
The anchor (Port: Âncora) is a canting element. The town is located at the mouth of small Âncora river. The bendlet wavy is symbolizing the river and the base wavy (green colour) the Atlantic.

Vila Praia de Âncora Commune is one of the 14 communes of the Caminha municipality (q.v.); it had 4820 inhabitants in 2011 and covers 8 km². It is the biggest town of the municipality.
