Shield Gules with base wavy of Azure and Argent, issuant from base a mountain Argent, crowned by an embattled mural wall Argent masoned Sable with port Gules, in central chief a fleur-de-lis Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank)and white scroll with inscription in black initials "ÁLVORA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Vez River, the name giver of the municipality.

Álvora Commune was one of the pre-2013 communes of Arcos de Valdevez Municipality (q.v.); it had 261 inhabitants in 2011 and covered 5.4 km².

It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain blue field.

Coat of arms

Shield Argent with base wavy of Azure and Argent, two rye ears Vert crossed per saltire, in chief a labarum with staff or and sheet Gules. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "LOUREDA".
Meaning:
The base wavy is representing Vez River, the name giver of the municipality. The labarum might be an attribute of Archangel St. Michael, the local patron saint.
