It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Coat of arms

Shield Vert, a belfry with three arches Argent, masoned Sable with bells Or, in chief two grapevines Or leafed Argent ordered per fess, in base a cogwheel Or. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black capitals "TELÕES - AMARANTE".
Meaning:
The belfry is representing the oldest local parish church of Telġes, since 1977 being a national monument. The rapevines are representing agriculture, especially viticulture, one of the principal business lines of the village. The cogwheel is representing industries.
