It is a typical Portuguese communal flag, with the coat of arms centred on a plain white field.

Shield Vert with base wavy of Argent and Azure, two arrows Argent crossed per saltire and flanked by a fleur-de-lis Or at dexter and an open book Argent bound Sable at sinister. Mural crown Argent with three visible towers (village rank) and white scroll with inscription in black initials "VIMEIRO - ALCOBAÇA".
Meaning:
The arrows are an attribute of St. Sebastian, the local patron saint, and the fleur-de-lis probably is referring to the Cistercian Monastery of St. Mary of Alcobaça, former owner of many domains in the municipality.
