Ciasna - rural commune, Lubliniec County, Śląskie Voivodship - former name:
gmina Ciasno.
Gmina Ciasna is a rural gmina (commune) in Lubliniec County, Silesian
Voivodship, in southern Poland. Its seat is the village of Ciasna, which
lies approximately 11 kilometres (7 mi) north-west of Lubliniec and 64
km (40 mi) north-west of the regional capital Katowice.
Area: 134.17 sq.km (51.8 sq.mi); Population: 7,938 (2006).
A typical agricultural commune; land under cultivation - 51%; forests
- 40%.
It has two train stations on its territory.
Arms and flag adopted on August 21, 2003 (resolution # IX/80/2003).
"Arms: on the blue shield an image of an oak tree, in gold.
Flag: a rectangle composed of three bands: the the middle one,
wider and blue and the upper and lower ones, narrow and yellow."
