The flag is light blue with district coat of arms on it. You can see it on district website.

The good citizens of Mochumi are obviously very fond of Argentina.
Juan Jose Morales, 19 April 2009

The webpage reported by Valentin is defunct but archived as of 2020 at http://www.munimochumi.gob.pe and http://www.munimochumi.gob.pe/img/logo2.png.

This original (official?) image has really bad symmetry and wrong fill details; that’s especially visible on the off-center sun crest.

As pointed out Juan Jose Morales on our page, this emblem seems to be influenced by Argentine heraldic design, both in the overall use of the oval shield and in the specifics of the handshake and the Phrygian cap.
See Mendoza Province, San Juan Province, and many others.

The coat of arms was apparently created during the tenure from 1993 to 1995 of C.P.C. Segundo Chapóńán Valiente as mayor through a contest.
