The old flag was divided horizontally white and green, with in the canton
a horizontally three-striped flag BYN. It was not official and was also
derived from the Coat of Arms (the green bar), while in the canton the colors were
from the Gelderland provincial flag

The village flag's design is based on a newly developed coat of arms. It
combines various (historical) elements: the colors and coat of arms of the Van
Puffelick family, a reference to the Van Mekeren family, a line drawing of the
Old Tower, and two waves symbolizing the Maas and Waal rivers. Together, they
form a logo that connects the past and the present.
