No Flag

The council informed me they do not use a municipal flag.

Coat of Arms

image from Reddit

The council did not inform me on the history of the municipal coat of arms; I was told to look at their Regulations (which do not share its history). The shield has pointed edges. In the center is a map of the municipality in red, with text over it that reads 1830, the year of its creation in yellow. Above it is a ribbon that reads "Municipio de Tampacán, S.L.P." (in modern versions "Mpio." is read instead). To the left of the map, the Asunción de María church is depicted. To its right, the Municipal Building is depicted in yellow; this is over the bridge that leads to the Municipal Seat, which crosses the Moctezuma River. In the lower-left, a violin is depicted for its Huastec traditions; a cob of corn for the basic aliment of the people; three oranges on branches for its citrus production; and a cow for the cattle-raising industry.
