Coat of Arms

The council informed me they do not have information on the history of their coat of arms. The coat of arms of the municipality is simply the coat of arms of San Luis Potosí, the state and city, and often depicts in the upper part of the shield text that reads "Cerro de San Pedro Emblema del Escudo de nuestro Estado" [Emblem of the Shield of our State]. The shield has a border in white, having in the center a rectangle frame divided into blue and yellow; the left side has two golden bars and on the right two bars of silver. In the center, St. Louis, king of France, stands on the Cerro de San Pedro (which itself has been destroyed by a mine), and has four houses on it.
