It appears Xichú does not use a municipal flag.

It appears the coat of arms was adopted in 1985 for the 400th anniversary of Xichú's foundation, based on older versions of the coat of arms. The shield has a ribbon over it, reading "NON PLUS ULTRA" [Nothing More Further], a Spanish motto that signifies the historic strength of the dominion over the land. Above the ribbon is a crown. Under the shield is a ribbon that reads "XICHU". The shield is divided in half horizontally; the lower-right has three sections. The upper half depicts an Indian with a bow and arrow shooting the Spanish lion, representing his defense against the Spanish invader. The lower-left section depicts the Virgin of Guadalupe as a symbol of the Catholic faith with a mantle. The lower-right depicts, from top to bottom: a fleur-de-lis, placed in monuments in honor of heroes; two crossed keys for good and bad; and two fleur-de-lis above a ribbon that reads "DESPUES DE DIOS LA CASA DE QUIROZ" [After God the House of Quiroz], signifying the power of Eleuterio Quiroz found in the Sierra Gorda; he also used this motto.
