Strangely, a version with a blue coat of arms is used, even though the state government has recognized the color of the border as "gules" since its adoption in 1946 and reaffirms this in a document with specifications. It doesn't appear to be party-specific, as the past three governors are known to have used the standard coat of arms. It is believed that it saw the most use before the design was confirmed in 2013. The worst offenders, in fact, appear to be outside of the state government. An image shows the mayor of Asientos with the blue version. On MercadoLibre a version with blue (and silver!) details can be seen. As such, it is believed that the blue version is used simply by preference of the manufacturer and/or consumer without taking note of the coat of arms adopted as official.
