Patriarchal crosses mean the local custom of building
large wooden crosses with two crosspieces, also the
resistance of local people against Polish regime: building of
such Lithuanian crosses was one of methods of
fight. Red colour means blood spilled to keep the
Lithuanian identity. Wolf heads mean wolves living in environs.
