Located in Shinjuku City Tokyo and established in 1946. The embroidered ceremonial flag has purple background with a gold emblem and vertically written gold kanji university name in gold fringe. The university flag has purplish blue background with a white emblem. (Source) The university emblem is a rounded hem of the Chinese character 醫 , which has been used since the days of the Tokyo College of Medicine, and the prototype of the current university emblem can be seen on the cap of the senior members of the Student Association Headquarters during the Sogaku movement. It is said that this unique shape was created to represent a bullet and to unite the student body as one.
