The "Agenzia per la Cybersicurezza Nazionale, ACN" (Agency for National
Cybersecurity) is a government agency in charge of information security. It aims
to protect national interests in cyberspace. It ensures the implementation of
the national cybersecurity strategy adopted by the Prime Minister and also
promotes a coherent regulatory framework in the sector. It also exercises
inspection and sanctioning functions. It develops international collaborations
with similar agencies. It ensures coordination between public entities and the
implementation of public-private initiatives aimed at ensuring cybersecurity and
resilience for the country's digital development.
It was established by
